Yoga is for Everyone and Every Body!!

 The beauty of yoga is that you don’t have to have any experience to reap the benefits.

Whatever your fitness level, yoga has the power to calm the mind, strengthen the body and bring our body and spirit into balance and alignment.

Bring your mat or use one of ours.   We also provide blankets, straps, bolsters and blocks to enhance your practice and create a safe and supportive yoga practice that is accessible to all.

Teachers

Laura

Laura has practiced yoga for over 25 years and has been a teacher for 20 of those and has both a 200E and 500E teaching certification through Yoga Alliance.  Her teaching is heavily influenced by the Iyengar style with the use of props and blankets to create a supported and aligned pose for each individual student. After teaching in Florida for many years, she and her husband moved to beautiful East Tennessee. "I am grateful for the opportunity to teach yoga in such a beautiful space and wonderful town"

Megan

Megan's yoga journey began in 2019 while looking for an exercise to help manage job stress while still being gentle on her joints. After attending her first in person class she loved everything about it especially the people who shared her passions and interests and knew immediately that she wanted to further her education and become a Yoga Instructor.

"When I hold a session, my goal is to offer a sanctuary. A place where you can leave your burdens at the door and shut off the outside world for 60 minutes to take care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally."

Melissa

Melissa is the founder of The Loft and  currently teaches Chair, Restorative and Vinyasa classes. "Influenced by my teachers, peers and environment I aim to bring a sense of empowerment to each of my classes. Through intention, non judgement, meditation, movement and breath my goal is to have my students leave class feeling refreshed and renewed.  I aim to live a yogic lifestyle and lead my classes in a way that reflects that choice."

Shari

Shari has practiced yoga for years. She obtained her 200 RYT in 2021 through Breathe for Change. Her goal is to make yoga invitational and inclusive to people of all ability levels. A hometown girl, Shari is thankful for the opportunity to share yoga with you at The Loft.

Darlene      

Darlene is a 2018 graduate of  the Yoga Fit 200 hour Yoga Certification course. She teaches a vinyasa (flowing) style of yoga focusing on flexibility and strength.  Darlene recently earned her Bachelors of Science degree and works in the health care field when she isn't teaching yoga or enjoying her love of travel. "I love the way yoga can relax and help me put into perspective stressful days."

Michelle

Michelle has practiced yoga since 2010. She began her teaching career in 2012 with BodyPump, BodyFlow and SilverSneakers. In 2017 Michelle completed her 200hr yoga teacher training at Cambio Yoga in Colorado Springs. Since then she has studied Holy Yoga, Subtle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga and Yin Yoga. Michelle loves to teach Chair yoga and restorative yoga bringing calmness into our hectic lives. Outside of yoga Michelle enjoys game nights, camping, hiking and learning about homesteading.

Heather

Heather has been practicing yoga for 23 years and completed her 200-hour certification with Asheville
Yoga Center in 2020. Her teaching style is a Slow Flow with focus on mindful movement, breath
awareness, and meditation. Heather is excited to share her love of yoga as a healing practice to release
stress and tension, while bringing balance to the mind, body, and spirit. “I like to remind students that
yoga is a Practice and there’s no wrong way to show up on your yoga mat...Arrive as you are.”

Teachers

Drop In Prices are $10 Per Class.  The Studio Provides Mats, Blankets, Blocks, Straps and Bolster or You Can Bring Your Own.
